August 2007 Trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg!

Pigeon Forge
She is the Pilot of the Plane!

Lily got to ride in the Engine of the Train!
She was swinging. . .
Lily has always enjoyed riding the carousels. This one is on the main strip
in Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley Road.

After conquering all the rides, Lily poses for a shot with Melanie.Lily enjoys her reward of a double cookie ice cream sandwich!
_________

Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Ben Ogle's Farm
Lily enjoyed exploring the house and barn.Lily made good use of a stick she found along the trail.
Lily proved to be quite the hiker on Ogle's Farm. It was considerably rocky along the wooded trail that was probably about a mile long, up and down hill, and over a few brooks and bridges. We finally came to an old grist mill on the creek with Lily leading the way!

Lily and my Mom check out the old Ogle Farm Grist mill.
Melanie is a good hiker, too!

Summer 2007 in Pigeon Forge, TN/Dollywood

Lily and I taking a break from the heat in Dollywood. Her vocabulary has grown very rapidly, possibly because her favorite word is the perpetual "Why?"
Lily and Emily with her Nanny (Grandmother Vickie Skipper) and her Aunt Christy. They really enjoyed the train.
Above is Lily (left) and her cousin Emily. Lily is 4 year old and Emily will be 3 in 2 months. They both enjoy playing dress-up, especially when it means becoming a Princess!

Below, Lily is enjoying a ride on the Carousel at Dollywood.

A shopping/sight seeing trip to Savanah, Georgia!

Lily took a special interest in getting these little cloth shoes to stay on the china dolls.
She does have determination.

Back where it all started!

Many of you already know that Lily started out as a premie. She was born at 29 weeks, and was 2 lbs. Above you see her on Sondra's arm with my wedding ring as a bracelet. She was still being fed through a feeding tube here. We would gravity feed mother's milk from a seringe. She was in the NICU at CMC for 6 weeks. The day she checked out of the hospital she hit 4 lbs.

More random photos!

Ya gotta love that smile!

Here she is yelling "Vacation" while doing the "V" sign. She loves the beach, sand and water, and just being together with everyone at once.

Picnics in the park are fun too, especially with cupcakes and icing!

Various Pics of Lily

Lily started small, but she has grown!

Her vocabulary has grown so much, I didn't think

I would notice new words, but the word she uses so much now has gotten my notice: WHY?

Over and over in succession. I have to try to think of an answer that she can't say why to! LOL

Fall Festival at Catawba Heights Baptist Church

Lily and her Daddy (minus his beard).
I shaved it off at the behest of Lily.

When I asked her why she wanted it off, she said so I'd be pretty.

We ran into twin cows (Ron and Lori's) so I took a picture of the whole hurd.

The Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch is an annual event at Maple Springs Farm on the Dallas Stanley Highway in Dallas, North Carolina.

They also have Strawberries, Black Berries and other fruits and vegetables in season.

All in sight of the Old Graham and Sarah Lineberger Farm.

From the Hay Ride to the Pumpkin Picking to the Play Ground,

The annual trip to The Pumpkin Patch is always a lot of fun.
2006 was no exception!
Making the trip this year was my daughter Lily in the dark purple and her cousin Emily in the light purple. Her cousins, aunt, Nannie and myself rounded out the kin with a friend thrown in.

They closed after Haloween for the winter, but will be open come spring in plenty of time for strawberry pick'n time.

Myrtle Beach in October

Well the trip to the Sea Mist at Myrtle Beach has come an gone. We were a tribe of 7 in a mini-van: Lily and myself along with My mother-in-law Vickie, Sister-in-law Kristy, and her three kids Emily, Nick and Amanda.

It was great to get away for a few days, especially to the beach with Lily.

I really get spoiled and so does she.

What else could get such a reaction from her,

unless it would be cousin Emily with a pull up on each end!

They're really becoming great playmates.

Everyone had a great time!
